As I have never favoured any “Time Share” system but always encouraged possible investors to effectuate a legal purchase to fully participate in increasing values on the island, I have had many foreign and Spanish clients who did very well. Not only did they participate in the hike itself, they were able to earn money regularly by renting their property (or part of it) during their absence.
The financial crisis has adjusted sale prices on the island. While prices for Apartments, Flats and Row houses tumbled lately around 30% the drop for new chalets and villas was much less and the prices for old Farmhouses stayed stable because of a lack of offers on the market.
